Process Overview

Before You Begin

  • Shake Polishes Well
  • Ensure you are using our Dewalt, Heavy-Duty Polisher and that the RPM setting is dialed to 1000.
  • Use Prep Spray and a fresh towel, provided in the Launch Kit to clean the transparency, removing potentially harmful grit.
  • Attach the appropriate size backing plate to the polisher.
Step 1

  • Attach the Principle Polish application pad to the backing plate. Ensure it is centered.
  • Apply polish to the pad and compress the pad against the surface.
  • Repair the entire window, using an even cross-hatching motion.
  • Check for heat buildup throughout to ensure window is not too hot. As long as you are moving the polisher continually and keeping liquid on the surface, you will not generate enough heat to damage the transparency.
  • Upon completion of Step 1, use Prep Spray and a fresh towel to clean the transparency. Then proceed to Step 2.
Step 2

  • Repeat the above steps with the Finishing Polish and Finishing Polish Application Pad.
  • Upon completion of Step 2, use Master Clear and a fresh towel to clean the transparency.
